Oki Licenses inSilicon USB Communications Technology

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 31, 2001-- inSilicon Corporation (Nasdaq:INSN), a leading provider of semiconductor intellectual property (IP) communications platforms, today announced a technology licensing agreement with Oki Electric Industry Co., located in Tokyo, Japan. The agreement provides for the use of inSilicon's enabling USB (Universal Serial Bus) communications technologies in Oki's System-on-Chip (SOC) LSI development.

Under the terms of the agreement, Oki will license USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 communications semiconductor intellectual property (IP) technology from inSilicon to provide optimized solutions to the LSI semiconductor market. Oki offers a total environment for the development of system-on-chip LSI system software and hardware, including portable, terminal devices, and PC peripherals.
